Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have got loads of improved features and specs. But the major improvement that has made its place in the South Korean Giant’s new flagships is in the camera. Not only this, there are loads of features that the cameras of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have got. So, this post highlights all the radical camera features of the Samsung Galaxy S9 phone for the more camera-centric users.
The Drastic Camera Features of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
From the super slo-mo video to the AR Emoji, this time, the camera is clearly the primary focus of the South Korean Giant.
1: Super Slo-Mo
Although slow motion video is not a new feature for the smartphones, however, the super slo-mo is. With the updated camera features in the Samsung Galaxy S9, the 4K footage can now be recorded at 60 fps. Samsung not only offers 60 fps 4K video but also allows the users to shoot 240 fps at Full HD/1080p and 960 fps at 720p. Not only this, the Slo-Mo in the Samsung also features the auto mode that aims to take the guesswork out of it, so you only have to try once.
2: AR Emoji
Inspired by the Apple’s Animoji feature, Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus features the AR Emoji that is nicely customizable and pretty great. Using either camera of the phone, the users can make a 3D animation of their faces and can transform themselves into avatars that resembles Bitmoji in Snapchat. The camera of the phones captures your face so that your emoji looks more like you. Moreover, the best part of the AR Emoji feature in the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is that it offers lots of customization options. Hairstyles, clothes and even accessories can be changed for the added experience.
Furthermore, the AR Emoji works in the Augmented Reality fashion. That means whenever you launch your front-facing camera, the AR Emoji is launched, your face is tracked so that you can move your head around and even make faces. You can also save dozens of GIFs using the AR Emoji and even can share with your friends and contacts using social media accounts.
3: Mechanical IRIS
Mechanical Iris or the Adjustable aperture is the real show stopper for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The single lens of both the phones offer f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture allowing the users to capture super bright and clear pictures. The super wide f/1.5 will allow light to flood into the sensor, and potentially make low light photos far easier for this tiny module to capture. It also allows for great bokeh or depth-of-field effects where the background is creamy behind the sharp foreground subject. On the flip side, the f/2.4 aperture is better suited for wider scenes, like staggered group shots or landscapes. The Auto mode will pick between the two for you, but you can take control at any time in the Pro Mode.
4: Multi-frame Processing
Not only this, Multi-frame processing is also another great feature that the cameras of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus offer. Hit the shutter and the camera will capture 12 photos, essentially in three groups of four.
So what do you think of the new camera features of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus?
