The phone turned out to be a disappointment for most of the users and that is the reason why Samsung has officially delayed its launch all across the globe including the USA.

Samsung Galaxy Fold To Be launched “In Coming Weeks”
The Samsung Galaxy Fold was one of the most awaited phone to be launched this year by the South Korean Giant, featuring a 4.6” display when folded while offering a mesmerizingly large 7.3” display on unfolding. The fine phone came with the price tag of $1980 due to its Fold that was considered as a category-defining device. With that whopping price, the device was expected to provide ultimate user experience while offering flexibility for use – both as a regular phone and a full-sized tablet.
However, unfortunately, the phone didn’t come out the way it was expected. Several reviews and technologies complained about the phones’ un-functionality and impaired display. Among those issues, some were apparently reported to be related to the journalists peeling off the protective layer, that looked like a typical screen protector but was actually a part of the phones’ display. Other issues were reported to be related to the other parts of the phone including parts of the display going dark, bumps emerging under the screen and much more.
The phone was originally set to be released on April 26th and Samsung was taking in the pre-orders for the device online. However, just after a few days, multiple reports regarding the issues with the phone started to emerge.
Regarding these issues, the company has officially decided to delay the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold all across the globe. In their recent statement, the company revealed that they are delaying the launch of the phone in order to look into the matter and will announce a new release date for the phone in the coming weeks.
According to the statement released by the Samsung, “Initial findings from the inspection of reported issues on the display showed that they could be associated with impact on the top and bottom exposed areas of the hinge.” “There was also an instance where substances found inside the device affected the display performance.” “We will take measures to strengthen the display protection,” the statement continued. They also added, “We will also enhance the guidance on care and use of the display including the protective layer so that our customers get the most out of their Galaxy Fold.”
Till then, we have to wait what Samsung will do to make sure the foldable phones work fine, under any circumstance. The launch date of the phone is to be announced in the coming weeks, till then keep your fingers crossed and keep visiting for more updates.
